Bay City Players will present the play, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, from the story by C.S. Lewis and dramatized by Joseph Robinette, August 7-10, 2008 at the Bay City Players, 1214 Columbus Avenue, in Bay City.   Performance times are 7:00 p.m.Thursday through Saturday and 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.  The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is directed by Robin Devereaux. 2008-2009 SEASON 91 MEMBERSHIPS NOW AVAILABLE!

Bay City Players will hold auditions for the first show of our 91st season TWELVE ANGRY MEN on Sunday, August 24, 2008 and Monday, August 25, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. 1214 Columbus Avenue, Bay City.  Performance dates are October 17-19 and October 23-26, 2008.  TWELVE ANGRY MEN will be cast from both men and women auditioning.   The title will remain TWELVE ANGRY MEN because it has box office recognition.  With the publisher’s approval, lines may be taken from TWELVE ANGRY WOMEN to create a script suitable for casting both sexes.
Currently the director, Leeds Bird can envision either males or females playing the foreman, Jurors 4, 6, 8, 12 and the guard.  Anything could change depending upon the people who audition.  If you have questions, talk to Leeds Bird at 671-3821.
THE PLOT: The tension is there from the start as 12 jurors try to decide the fate of a young man accused of murder.  “Beyond a reasonable doubt” sounds easy, but not everyone agrees on what is reasonable.  This powerhouse show will be made even stronger by casting both men and women. 
Those auditioning will be asked to read selections from the script.
